We invite scientists, blockchain developers, IT technology experts and experts around the world to participate in the global online blockchain hackathon. Offer your unique idea or approach to solving a problem. Turn its into reality during the hackathon.

The main area of online hackathon are solutions related to blockchain technology. Participants can offer their ideas in accordance with the proposed prize nominations. Looking forward to seeing what you build!

Dates: July 17 (opening ceremony), July 18 - July 19 (workshops), July 17 - July 25 (building), July 25 - August 2 (judging), August 2 (closing ceremony)

Eligibility

  • The Competition is open to participants from any jurisdiction. Participants may be natural persons (provided they are at least eighteen years old) and corporate or unincorporated bodies (whether or not having separate legal personality). Participants may participate individually or form teams.
  • Current employees, contractors, vendors and members of Organiser and Judging Committee or any entity or individual involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the Competition and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible to join the Competition as Participants.
  • Organiser may disqualify a Participant if it provides information that is not truthful, accurate and complete.

Requirements

The solution should demonstrate the benefits of blockchain technology.

Submit the following before 04:00pm EST July 25th, 2020. Late submissions won’t be accepted.

  • A link to one or more public GitHub repositories where developed source code is hosted and access to your application. Please select an open-source license for your submission (e.g. MIT license). Please include a README.md with instructions for using your code.

  • A short video to demonstrate the use of your tool. Please keep it under 5 mins.

Language Requirements

All Submission materials must be in English or, if not in English, the Maker must provide an English translation of the demonstration video, text description, and testing instructions as well as all other materials submitted.

Judging Criteria

  • Application/Impact
    Does the project have any feasible application and/or have a social impact? Will this help the community and business with a real problem they are facing? Can this be implemented? This is a key category.
  • Technical Complexity
    The team should display a good level of knowledge in terms of the technology they’ve used in implementing their project. The solution should demonstrate the benefits of blockchain technology
  • Creativity/ Innovation
    Is this project unique and innovative? Is it a solution or creation we have never seen before? A better way of doing something? How unique is the submission? How much are you pushing your imagination?
  • Functionality/Quality
    Is the project free of major bugs? Does it look appealing? The UI/UX doesn’t have to be absolutely perfect, but if we’re having a hard time understanding the project by looking at it, there may be a problem
